Home Economics Association

The Canterbury Home Economics Association held its last meeting for the year recently. Mrs L. V. Gain presided. Carols were sung by the choir conducted by Miss J. Struthers. The Central Townswomen's Guild presented two humorous sketches, and songs and dances, including a spectacular knife dance, were presented by a Saoman concert party.

Specially-invited guests included the Mayoress (Mns G. Manning) and her sister, Mrs R. McCourt; representatives of the National Council of Women and the Townswomen's Guild.
