TIME TRIAL BY ORDEAL

Ordeal, winner of the Worthy Queen and Dominion Handicaps and runner-up to Moon Boy in the New Zealand Trotting Free-for-all at the recent cup meeting at Addington, will go against time at the New Brighton Trotting Club’s summer meeting on Saturday week. z Ordeal, which created a New Zealand and Australian record of 2min 37 2-ssec (mile rate 2 mln 8 3-ssec) for one mile and a quarter when she won the Worthy Queen Handicap, will attempt to lower the New Brighton track record’of 2min 7 2-ssec for one mile established by Dictation in 1951. The time trial will take place after the running of the third race. The New Zealand record for one mile is 2min 3 3-ssec established by Worthy Queen at Addington in 1934.
