The shop is engaged in the production of fired and unfired pressure vessels, freezing-works plant and machinery, heavy weldments as required for Government contracts, and other types of general steel fabrication work. It is well equipped with modem plant, and is capable of handling a wide variety of interesting assignments. Experience of modem fabrication practice is essential in this position. Although not strictly necessary. some professional qualifications may also be considered an advantage. It must be stressed that the position is principally an administrative one. It involves the ■ planning and scheduling of work and the design of jigs and tools, and calls for ability to assess - operation times and control in- ' centive schemes.
