Further Recoveries On Sharemarket

A higher ratio of rises to falls than has been seen for several weeks was shown in yesterday’s trading on the Christchurch Stock Exchange. Both Australia and New Zealand shares recorded more rises than falls.

The gains were made by N.Z. Breweries, South British Insurance B, Ampol, Burnett Holdings, Fletcher rights, Hay’s, Reid Murray and Woolworths. Southland Frozen Meat showed the biggest loss of the day, 3s down at 775. National Insurance were Is down at 42s 6d.
