Situation.—A south-easterly airstream covers the North Island. A’ ridge of high pressure extends across the South Island from an anti-cyclone centred near Otago. Forecast:— Marlborough.—Fresh south-east winds; some cloudy areas in the morning, but weather otherwise fine with rather cool temperatures. Outlook fine. Nelson and the West Coast.—Fine weather with light to moderate variable winds; mild temperatures. Outlook: fine. Canterbury.—Winds becoming moderate easterlies, cloudy at times near the coast, otherwise fine; temperatures moderate near the coast, but becoming mild inland. Outlook: fine.
