SALE OF SANTA GERTRUDE
Readers will recall a recent article on this page about the Santa Gertrudas cattle on the King Ranch's Rlsdon stud near Warwick in Queensland. At the recent sale of 12 purebred bulls at the stud the average price was 4608 guineas, with two bulls making to 5300gns. The average at last year’s phenomenal sale was 5325gras, with the top price at 7200gns. This year the sale was held with Queensland in the throes of drought and economic conditions rather less buoyant.
