Nagas Free Five Indian Airmen

Naga tribesmen, who are campaigning for a separate Nagaland State within the Indian Union, have released five of the nine Indian airmen they captured recently, the deputy Indian Defence Minister (Mr Surjit Singh

Majithia) told Parliament today. He said there were rumours that the Nagas would release the other four airmen on payment of a ransom, but the Government has received no direct communication concerning this. said British United Press. The Indian Premier (Mr Nehru) said the Government was negotiating for their release.
