“UNITES ALL PEOPLE”

Many people have come to recognise that Social Credit as a policy is far in advance of anything contained in the policies of the other two contending parties. Once they have come to that conclusion they must realise that no change will come from either Labour or National while they continue to vote for either in an effort to keep one or the other party out of office. Surely it must be realised that the difference between the two is so slight that it is hardly worth considering. Once a person is convinced of the rightness of Social Credit, his aim is to get as many others as possible to stake their faith in the new vista opened up by Social Credit Unlike other parties Social Credit has no great vested interests behind it to control propaganda. It does not divide the people into mutually antagonistic groups; but it unites all people in a common consumers’ policy. While men continue to be mesmerised by the falsity of the money system they will remain slaves. Men will be really free when money becomes their servant.

Social Credit believes in a state of welfare for all, not a welfare State which in time must break down if we stick to the present financial system in which the people are kept in perpetual debt and under perpetual. taxation. Social Credit will ensure by Statute that all money issues are backed by assets and that all issues will be tied to goods and services produced. No goods and services, no issue of money. In addition, a Social Crmlit Government will ensure that sufficient purchasing power, obviously short today, is equated with prices.

"For the Individual” Only Social Credit stands for the individual and so is the very antithesis of communism. Social Credit proposals are purely the tenets of Christianity in practical form.

D °es It require any deep thought to understand that money today consists of mere figures entered in bank ledgers or that money, being essential in order to carry on the business of the nation, should be created at source by a statutory authority for and on behalf of the people and credited in such a way, under Statute, that it is tied to goods and services and then issued at !??« a just and full distribution of the goods and services the people have produced. For a full presentation of the Social Credit policy I would ask every elector to read the "New Zealand Guardian,” which has been posted to every household in the electorate.
