New American Ford
The Ford Motor Company of America is to produce a new ultra-compact four-cylinder car known as the Cardinal to compete with the Volkswagen on the American market. The car will have front-wheel drive. The new model, or at least the major .parts of it, are expected to be manufactured in Europe, where lower production costs will enable it to be marketed in America at a competitive price.
