Chiropraclors Bill

Sir,—“Family Doctor” suggests the bill Is political. The writer was once informed that both Mr Massey and the then Opposition would have been willing to give chiropractors recognition. As for qualifications, how is it that the doctors have been so slow to recognise those true spinal conditions that can be put right by chiropractic? Or is there something particularly good in making as many people bed cases as possible and inflicting pain? Most chiropractic cases are doctors’ rejecta. There is an enlightened minority among doctors who will send a patient to a chiropractor or tell a chiropractor he is doing good work.—Yours, etc., A. M. LEIGH. November 2. 1960.
