PARK YOUR CAR AT WIGRAM

F you want to avoid all the fuss and bother of finding a parking place for your car on ‘'People’s Day” the free parking area at Wigram airfield could solve your problem. Even more people will attend the Royal Show this year and with bigger sheep entries and extended trade space there will be less room for cars. By parking at Wigram and catching one of the free buses, the famijy can be at the show in about 10 minutes^ —probably less time than it would take to find a parking place in a nearby street and walk to the showground gates. The entrance to the Wigram car park is not the station’s main gates but is off the Middle Lincoln road at the south-west corner of the airfield. Signposts will guide cars to the entrance. Having solved the parking problem, don’t forget the lunch basket. The association has set aside two special “tea gardens” on the grounds where the public can sit in the shade and picnic. Trotting patrons, too, can take advantage of the Wigram parking area and the free buses as the New Zealand Metropolitan Club has combined with the show association in arranging the parking and transport. The buses will be running continuously at peak periods on the Friday and at other times will have a maximum time interval of about 15 minutes.
