“Sour Grapes" By New Zealanders (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON. November 3. The secretary of the English Rugby League and secretary of the International Board Mr W. Fallowfield, replied today to comments from New Zealand about the recent .World Cup series. He claimed the New Zealand Rugby League coach. Mr T. Hardwick. deprecated the New Zealanders while in England * and thought that all legislators should be ex-lntemationals—“that’s what Hardwick’s opinion is worth.” Replying to comments by the manager of the New Zealand team. Mr T Skinner. Mr Fallowfleld said. "Mr Skinner is a brave man If after a couple of weeks in England he can venture opinions of that sort.’’ Mr Skinner had said that the method of playing the ball bore no resemblance to the rules, and boring and double-tackling were frequent. It seemed like a case of sour graces said Mr Fallowfleld. He said that at the recent International Board meeting in Leeds it was agreed to continue with the cycle of tours as arranged, which meant that a New Zealand team would visit England next season.
