INVITATION TO SNELL
Offer Of Races In Australia
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, November 3. P. G. Snell, of New Zealand, the winner of the 800 metres at the Rome Olympics, may run tn Melbourne early next year. Snell and Queensland’s 880 yd champion, Dr. A. Blue, are being sought by the Victorian Amateur Athletic Association to meet over 880yds. Blue has already said he is eager to meet Snell in Melbourne and Brisbane this season The Victorian invitation has been sent to Snell in New Zealand through the Amateur Athletic Union of Australia, according to the “Melbourne Herald” today.
