Further Wright, Stephenson Bid?
(New Zealand Press Association) GISBORNE, October 31. A further meeting with the directors of Gisborne Sheepfarmers Mercantile Company, Ltd., is sought by the managing director of Wright, Stephenson, Ltd., Mr C. U. Plimmer. He confirmed in a telephone interview today, that he had telegraphed a request to Mr P. F. Barker, chairtpian of the Gisborne firm. Mr Plimmer said that subject to certain information being available, it was “most likely” that another offer would be made to Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ shareholders following the amended offer from Newton King, Ltd.
