DEATH OF R.N.Z.A.F. BOY ENTRANT

(New Zealand Press Association) BLENHEIM, October 24. A 16-year-old member of the boy entrant school at the Royal New Zealand Air Force station, Woodbourne, died suddenly in the station hospital yesterday. He was:. Francis Edwin Sanders, son of Mr and Mrs H. J. Sanders, Bowen street, Kurow. Sanders had spent Saturday with friends. He became ill and his friends notified the Air Force authorities. As soon as he returned to the station he was examined by the medical officer, Flight-Lieutenant R. E. Clayton-Jones, who diagnosed pneumonia and immediately admitted him to the station hospital where he died at 4 p.m. A post-mortem examination was held at the Wairau Hospital this morning.
