Draughts NORTH ISLAND CHAMPION
D. Hare Wins Title (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. 'October 24. The North Island draughts championship ended in Auckland today after four days of play. The oldest player. E. Kitchener, of Auckland, aged 82, gave an outstanding performance and ended by being placed third in the championship finals. In a meritorious performance J. Burke, of Wellington, won by 11 points from the champion, D. Hare, of Wellington. Final Results.—D. Hare (Wellington), 71 points. 1; C. Day (Auckland), 7,2; E. Kitchener (Auckland). 51. 3; J.
