“Free Lance” Bought By “Weekly News” (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 18. The “New Zealand Free Lance” will cease publication from November 2, when it will be incorporated in the "Weekly News.” This was announced today in a joint statement by the respective proprietors, H. E. Geddis and Company, Ltd., of Wellington, and Wilson and Horton, Ltd., of Auckland. The “Weekly News” is the oldest illustrated journal in New Zealand, with a circulation exceeding 129,000 a week. The “New Zealand Free Lance” was founded in 1900.
