The Public Service.—There are more than 3000 public servants employed in Christchurch. They serve their community in many different ways. The work they do is demanded by the community and thd Government. The range of their work calls for many differing skills; almost all the professions are represented. To young men and women to whom this type of work appeals, the Public Service offers attractive careers.
