Completion Of First Round (New Zealand Press Association) ASHBURTON, Oct. 18. The first round was completed and three second round games were played when the South Island snooker championship was continued at Ashburton today. Results:— First Round.—N. Aitken (Christchurch) beat R. Stewart (Christchurch), 45-53, 12-82. 53-44. 50-38. 60-35. Second Round.—H. Mason (Christchurch) beat T. Mintrom (Chrlstchurch) 44-47, 12-55, 59-45, 56-25, 69-31: T. Hall (Christchurch) beat I. Kenny (Ashburton), 33-62. 33-47, 6025, 60-53, 51-38: D. Gardiner (Christchurch) beat E. Bland (Ashburton). 53-29. 53-63. 58-20, 65-50.
