FOR TOWN MILK FARMERS
A field afternoon for town milk supply dairy farmers will be held next Thursday under the auspices of the farm advisory division of the Departdient of Agriculture and the local milk supply authorities. The programme will . deal mainly with problems associated with providing winter green feed for dairy cows, quality of feed with reference to' solids-Miotr-fat and renovation of pasture* and suitable species for dairy farm pastures. Farmers will assemble at the property of Mr Ron McCarthy at Osterholts road (off Akeroa highway) at 12.50 pjn. and at about 2.35 p.m. discussions will be continued at Mr Ron Humin’s farm, Tai Tapu back road.
