About 50 South Korean students yesterday broke into the House of Representatives and occupied the Speaker’s platform, demanding heavier penalties for former pro-Rhee officials, Outside the building about 1000 high school students and 200 demonstrators thronged to demand heavier punishment. Police estimated that the crowd later increased by 1000. The House of Representatives earlier today decided to mete out heavier penalties for former proRhee officials. After 20 minutes of shouting their demands, the students withdrew from the Lower House Chamber. No violence was reported.
