Nephite was doing t easily at the finish but it was a useful trial by Russett. which . might surprise In the Glen Hurdles. 1 Nephite has a chance in the Wellington Handicap. Parachute (Carter) was a length and a half in front of Aurora's Pride (Smith) at the completion of a mile in Imln fiOsec. the last three in 40sec. Further Tain would assist Aurora’s Pride In the Wellington Handicap. She looks fit. Goldish (Aitken) drew out to beat Our Sal (Hemopo) by two lengths over six furlongs in Imln 19sec. the last three in 40sec. It was an excellent trail by Goldish but she will not race until the later days at Trentham. Summer Knight (O’Neill) and ’ Solepic (O’Sullivan) were travelling nicely at the finish of six furlongs in Imln 21 sec, the last three in 40sec. Summer Knight, in particular. ' was doing his work solidly at the post and he could run well in the , Walnui Handicap. j Double Gain (O'Neill) sprinted > freely over five furlongs in Imin ' sjsec, the last three in 40}sec. She won at the Devin matinee meeting this week and might be a danger in the Rimutaka Hack Handicap.
