£2500 GRANT BY F.O.L

Labour Party’s Election Fund (Mew Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, October 12. The Federation of Labour had decided to contribute £2500 to the General Election campaign funds of the Labour Party. The federation’s’ president (Mr F. P. Walsh) said in Invercargill tonight that the federation had always contributed to the party, but “perhaps not to that extent before.” He said the money was from the federation’s funds. A number of the federation’s affiliations were also contributing generously to the party’s campaign funds, said Mr Walsh. Their money was coming direct from members through special subscriptions or levies.
