Mr Nash At U.N.

Sir, —The article in today’s issue, by a member of the literary staff of the “Dominion” newspaper, Wellington, makes New Zealanders ashamed, that a fellow-countryman should write so scathingly and critically of our Prime Minister, who gave of his best to help the nations to keep peace. Mr Nash used extreme courtesy, logic, and common-sense in his speeehs, a sharp contrast to other leaders’ personal attacks, bitterness, and table-thumping. The majority of our New Zealand newspapers threw aside party politics and generously applauded Mr Nash’s speech. The “Dominion” newspaper reporter is evidently determined to stir up party politics before the General Election by belittling Mr Nash'S splendid effort at the United Nations.—Yours, etc., SHAME, October 12, 1960. ’
