N.Z.-MADE GOODS
Growth In Value Of Exports Although the export of manu- 1 factored goods, as distinct from ' processed primary products, was ' still not a large figure in the total of New Zealand produce ex- ' ported, it was growing in both volume and value, said the annual report of the New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation, adopted at ' the conference in Auckland jes- 1 terday. Manufactured goods exported included canned and frozen vege- 1 tables, ale beer, etc., biscuits, 1 chemical wood pulp, medicinal and pharmaceutical products, leather, rubber manufactures, newsprint, paper board and hard- . board, dairying and agricultural machinery, wood-working and metal-working machinery, other miscellaneous machinery, clothing,
printed books and pamphlets in- ] eluding school text books, and a j group of miscellaneous manufac- < tured articles. < “It is apparent that there is a < growing awareness of export possibilities on the part of manu- ■ facturers,” said the report. “The i federation is anxious to see this < encouraged and developed.”
