CAULFIELD CUP
Large Field Anticipated (N-Z. Press Association—Copyright) MEI jBOURNE, October 7. An almost certain final acceptance erf more than 30 for the Caulfield Cup will pose a problem for the VA.T.C. committee ot whether to divide the cup or prune the field by elimination. Mr H. R. Way, VA.T.C. secretary, said yesterday that 24 was the maximum number which could be started from the stalls at the one and-a-half mile barrier at Caulfield. There ace still 93 horses, left in the Caulfield Cup, final acceptances for which will be taken on Tuesday. Connexions of 36 of these horses have indicated that they will be acceptors, providing the horses are not injured and race up to expectations.
