NEW HOME BUYERS Dear Mother, Remember when I last wrote to you I said we were considering buying a new home. Well guess what, we have really bought one now. Jim signed up last night and I am an thrilled. We had a good look around and am satisfied that we have bought wonderful value. Three beautiful bedrooms, two with built in wardrobe*, wonderful sunny lounge-n»om with a lovely tile surround and kitchen, you wait till you see it, its as nice as yours, gets the sun in the morning first thing, and practically all day. I’ve chosen a lovely stove and the Formica sink top matches my table perfectly. Oh! yes, I nearly forgot, the bathroom, it hag a shaving cabinet for Jim and we also have a shower. Just what Jim wants. The house is well under way, and I can choose my own paper and colour scheme. This suits me because I have fussy tastes as you know. The agency who sold us the house was so helpful. T. G. Healy Ltd., you will remember them, it was your idea that we should contact them earlier in the year. Anyway nothing was a bother to them. The house is 1140 sq. ft. and cost £2900 and the section £750, much cheaper and decidedly better value than anyone else.
