Aspects of this field include studies of the effects of insecticides on biochemical mechanisms: of the detoxifying mechanisms possessed by in-secticide-resistant insects: of biochemical processes which are sufficiently peculiar to insects that selective action may be taken against them, and of insect products (e.g., hormones, insect venoms) which may be of value as insecticides. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should possess at least a University Honours degree in Science with Biochemistry aS a major subject, or equivalent qualifications, together with some years of post graduate research experience.
