Nasser Hits At Menzies
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) CAIRO, October 6. President Nasser, of the United Arab Republic, yesterday criticised Mr Menzies’ United Nations speech on his return to Cairo from New York. He accused the Australian Prime Minister of ’’manoeuvering’’ at the General Assembly to liquidate” the five-Power resolution calling for the renewal of contacts between President Eisenbower, and Mr Khrushchev. Towards the end of his 50mmute speech. President Nasser suddenly changed the subject and launched a strong attack on King Hussein, of Jordon. Referring to hma constantly as "The Dwarf King," President Nasser said King Husseinhad achieved nothing at the United Nations.
