McKenzie Trust Approves Grants Totalling £32,950

WELLINGTON, October 7. Grants totalling £32,950 were announced by the J. R. McKenzie Trust Board today. This brings the total amount distributed since the inception of the trust to £270,600. The grants approved included: Specific Objects McKenzie Research Fellowship, administered by the New Zealand Cancer Campaign (to further research in the field of cancer) £1750, Heritage (distribution to branches) £2BOO. Royal Society for the Health of Women and Children £BOO, New Zealand Returned Servicemen’s Association (special assistance) £750, J. R. McKenzie Youth Education Committee (New Zealand trustees) to assist young people of either sex £2250. National Organisations British Sailors’ Society (N.Z.) (welfare work in Auckland, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers. Taranaki, and Bluff) £2OO, Boy Scouts’ Association of New Zealand (leadership training) £3OO, Boys’ Brigade (N.Z.)
