Overseas Exchange Rates

The Canadian dollar continued to weaken last week. The £ now buys 2 cents more of Canadian currency than it did a month ago. Telegraphic transfer exchange rates as advised by the Bank of New South Wales are as follows;

Wilkins And Davies.—Wilkins and Davies Construction Company. Ltd., Lower Hutt, proposes to capitalise £lOO.OOO of reserves in a one-for-one bonus issue of ordinary £1 shares. The issue will increase paid capital to £250.000, Including £50,000 in preference shares. Authorised capital will first be increased to £300,000.
