The Civil Aviation Authority has vacancies for youths who will re not more than 18J by the end of 1960. for career training on work associated with the installation and maintenance of the wide and complex range of radio and radar ground equipment necessary for the safe and efficient running of modern air transport. School Certificate with at least 50 per cent, in mathematics is essential, and applicants must be prepared to further their studies. There is a comprehensive programme of practical and theoretical training extending over five and a half years. The initial location is Wellington, but applicants must be medically fit for tropical service. VACANCY NO. 2899. COMMUNICATOR TRAINEES. There are vacancies in the Civil Aviation Administration for young men of up to 18 years of age for training m aeronautical ground communications and subsequently for careers in communications centres in New Zealand and the South Pacific.
