Cannibalism In Congo

(W.Z. Press Association—Copyright) BULAWAYO (Southern Rhodesia). Sept. 29. Cannibalism in the Congo was coming more and more into the open, said a former Congo missionary, Mr W. F. P. Burton, in Bulawayo yesterday. Mr Burton, aged 74, who was stationed at the Evangelistic mission at Mwanza Kazingu, in Baluba territory, said there were two types of cannibalism—the ritual type for ceremonial sacrifice and the other, which was just a craze for human flesh.
