Man Assaulted By Intruder
(New Zealand Press Association) ROTORUA, Sept 30. A man was assaulted when he disturbed an intruder in his flat at about 11.45 p.m. yesterday. Mr S. L. Lette, a married mill clerk, of 77 Ranolf street, received a blow on the head with a blunt weapon, but was not badly hurt. He returned to his flat from a shared bathroom and found a strange man standing in the front room. As he entered, the man struck out and then escaped.
