In May last year public libraries in Alabama withdrew frbm circulation a children’s book by Garth Williams entitled “The Rabbit’s Wedding.” Its story of a white rabbit which marries a Nack rabbit had aroused the anger of segregationists. Senator Eddins tor instance, said “it should be taken off the shelves and burnt.” After reading this report, Collins sent to the United States for the book, likbd it, and are publishing it in England this month.
