Whitcombe And Tombs Further Sharp Rise
Whitcombe and Tombs shares again rose sharply in business recorded yesterday by the Christchurch Stock Exchange at 62s 9d. Final dividend is expected to be announced soon. Mount Isa dropped a further 2s 6d to 63s and R. and W. Hellaby rose Is 6d to 66s 6d. Other price movements were on a smaller scale. Tekau Knitwear, Email, McKendrick contributing, Whakatane rights and Woolworths (N.Z.) were firmer. A.N.Z. Bank, N.Z. Breweries shares and rights, Ansett, 8.H.P., Electronic Industries B, Coles and Woolworths shares and notes were easier.
