PARLIAMENT Licensing Reform Debate Set Down For Today

(New Zealand Preu Association) WELLINGTON, September.2l. The House of Representatives will debate the Parliamentary Select Committee’s report on licensing reform tomorrow. The Prime Minister (Mr Nash) told the House of Representatives tonight that he hoped, by agreement with the Opposition, to have two members from each side speak for 30 minutes each on the report, and other members speak for 15 minutes each. The House will also discuss the report of the Local Bills Committee on local government. The Leader of the Opposition (Mr Holyoake) said the Opposition would try to be as co-operative as possible to enable the reports to be discussed.
