Fighting In Laos

VIENTIANE, Sept 21. Prince Boun Oum's revolutionary committee—which opposes the neutralist Government in Vientiane—announced today over Radio Savannakhet that it had won the battles of Sam Neua and Phong Sally, where fighting was reported to have broken out with pro-Communist Pathet Lao forces.

The broadcast said the "enemies received many wounds which caused them to stop fighting and withdraw their troops.”

Behan Behaves ''The Hostage,” Brendan Behan's controversial play, which was enlivened in London by the playwright's antics on the stage and in the audience, opened on Broadway last night to generally approving critical reviews. Behan himself watched the premiere quietly from a seat in the circle —New York, September 21.
