Workman Gaoled By S.M. In Rotorua

(Aew Zealand . Press ' Association! ROTORUA, Sept. 20. Dean Michael Eru, aged 21. a workman, married, of Rotorua, , appealed against a sentence of three months’ gaol imposed on by Mr G. J. Donne. S.M, in the Magistrate's Court at Rotorua on September 14. He was convicted of using obscene language in a public place and of wilful damage to a window pane in the Rotorua Police Station.

The Magistrate said Era's list of convictions justified the comment that he was “one of the young hooligans resentful of authority.”
