GERALDINE TRUST

Gross Turnover £60,671

I From Oii» Parliamentary Reporter! WELLINGTON, Sept. 20.

A most satisfactory year, in spite of difficult trading conditions, was recorded in the annual report of the Geraldine Licensing Trust for the year ending March 31 last, tabled in the House of Representatives today. The gross turnover was £60,671, with a gross profit of £19.731 and a net profit of £2400. “The increase in turnover on the previous trading year is very satisfactory under the circumstances,” said the report. “The sale of bottled ales has shown a marked increase since the reduction in duty and sales of this commodity are again back to normal.”

The trust has now utilised all the special depreciation authorised and is now operating on ordinary depreciation and, accordingly, paying taxation on the full net profit.
