JOHANNESBURG. Sept 3. Although the full-back, D. B. Clarke, completely dominated the scoring for the tour, the team’s total of 441 points in South Africa had 22 other contributors. Only eight of the party failed to score. Clarke, with 175 points scored in 20 matches, led from W. A. Davies, with 47 points, and T. R. Lineen, with 30. Clarke’s points in these matches came from one try, 32 conversions, 32 penalties, and four field goals. Davies; the only player apart from Clarke to score anything except tries, scored one try, 10 conversions, five penalties, and three dropped goals. The top try scorer was Lineen, with 10. Others in order were: R. W. Caulton (eight), J. R. Watt (seven), C. E. Meads (six), H. C. Bury, K. R. Tremain (five), R. F McMullen, K. F. Laidlaw, and P F. H. Jones (four), K. G Briscoe (three), R. J. Urbahn, R. J. Conway, E. A. R. Pickering, IN. 'MacEwan, D. J. Graham, and W. J. Whineray (two), T. P. O’Sullivan, S. R. Nesbit, A. H. Clarke, W. D. Gillespie, and L J. Clarke (one). The All Blacks scored 441 points, from 75 tries, 42 conversions, 37 penalties, seven field goals. The 164 points against them came from 23 tries, seven conversions, 26 penalties, one field goal.
