Situation.—A shallow depression to the north ot Northland is moving eastwards, and a north to north-easterly airstream covers the country. Forecast:— Nelson and Marlborough.—Light to moderate winds from a northerly quarter; a few scattered showers about the ranges, otherwise partly cloudy, with moderate day temperatures. Outlook: partly cloudy. West Coast.—Moderate northerly winds predominating; cloudy skies, with some occasional light rain, chiefly in the far south; moderate temperatures. Outlook: scattered light rain, chiefly in the far south. Canterbury.—Light to moderate north-easterly winds predominating; some areas of fog or low cloud about the coast at first, but weather otherwise partly cloudy; afternoon temperatures moderate. Outlook: partly cloudy.
