Pope Gives Crucifix To N.Z. Missionary
(N.Z. Press Assoetatum—CopvrU)hS) HOME, August 24. Pope John yesterday presented crucifixes to seven missionaries from New Zealand, Togoland, Jamaica, Thailand, Ceylon, the Gilbert Islands, and the Fiji Islands, it was learned today. The priests were presented to Pope John by the pro-prefect of the Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith (Gregory Peter Cardinal Agagianian). Among the missionaries were the Rev. Thomas William*, of Wellington, New Zealand. They were about to leave for their missions when the presentation was made at Casteigandolfo.
