2-YEAR-OLDS PARADE

Amadeus Well Forward

"The Press" Special Service MATAMATA, August 25. Amadeus, a gelding by Davy Jones from Tibbie, was the most forward of the 12 two-year-olds paraded at the race trials held at Te Awamutu yesterday by the Waikato Owners’ and Trainers’ Association. , x Amadeus is owned and trained at Te Rapa by Mr B. Blackburn. He won his heat, over a furlong and a half, by three-quarters of' a length. An unnamed filly by Khorassan from the Gold Nib mare Scribble also shaped well. This filly, trained at Te Awamutu by J. L. McDonald, won the fillies’ section of the parade by a length. Gaie Paris, another filly trained by McDonald, would have been closer in the same heat if she had not run greenly. She is a good looking chestnut filly by Sabaean from Can Can. Franamble, a big filly by Able Seaman from Frandore, owned by Mr A. V. Boyte, also showed promise, although she was not placed. She was badly checked in the running.
