Service Stations Broken Into
Thieves who apparently used a key to enter the premises of a service station owned by Mr C. C. McEwin at 121 Seavieu road. New Brighton, on Wednesday night stole between £l5 and £lB which had been left in a till hidden behind a door.
A garage attendant who arrived for work yesterday morning found only an open back door to indicate unlawful entry to the premises. There were no broken windows, the doors had not been forced, and skylights were intact.
The same premises were entered three years ago and a truck and. welding plant stolen, but th<f offenders were caujffit in the back entrance to Woolworth’:*, Ltd.’s, New Brighton store.
A second garage, on the eorwsr at Cashel and Barbadoes streets; was also broken into but only 3s in pennies was stolen.
