Poverty Bay. facing a Ranfurly Shield challenge match against Northland on Saturday, scored • 143 victory over the touring Counties team tn a Representative Rugby match at Gisborne this afternoon. The home team, leading 11-3 at halftime, won convincingly. The Poverty Bay forwards bustling tactics in the first spell forced the Counties backs into errors. For Poverty Bay. Don Green scored two tries and David Green one. J. Hata kicked a penalty goal and converted a try. I. Scott scored a try for Counties.
