MRS PRATT VISITS SOUTH AFRICA

“No Connexion” With Husband’s Trial

JOHANNESBURG. August 24. Mrs Patricia Pratt, the estranged wife of David Pratt, who is charged with attempting to murder the Prime Minister, Dr Verwoerd, says she came to South Africa not to attend her husband’s trial but to attend to family business. Mrs Pratt denied that she had already seen her husband in Pretoria gaol. She said she hoped to see him some time before her departure, and agreed that her husband had asked her to come to South Africa. Mrs Pratt "'parated from her husband three years ago. She said no action had been taken on a possible divorce.
