Draft Basis For Church Union
A draft basis for church union will be submitted to the church courts of Methodists. Presbyterians. Congregationalists and the Churches of Christ in New Zealand. This was announced at the annual synod of the North Canterbury Methodist district yesterday by the convener of the Methodist church union committee (the Rev. A. K. Fetch). The synod is being held in Christchurch. All these denominations are members of the joint standing committee on church union and the draft comes from this council.
