McKinley won the double*. 2-6, 6-4. 7-S. 6-4. 7-5 In a tremendous struggle against Mexigo’s R. Osuna and A. Palafox. The Americans and Mexicans each won one singles match yesterday. The victory by Buchholz and McKinley, both 19, was a shattering blow to Mexico’s hopes of upsetting the AmericansIt was a surprise to some Americans, as Buchholz had suffered from cramp during his win over M. Llamas in yesterday’s singles, while McKinley had been suffering from a stomach disorder all last week. The United States now needs to win only one of tomorrow’s singles to win the match.
