5500 Scored In 2hr 48min (New Zealand Press Association) ROTORUA. August 8. A darts ,core of 5500 ln Ihr «min mode by Ivor (Tufty) Davis, a hotel porter, beat the world darts record establishad at Christchurch recently when a similar score was made in 3hr Xmln.

Starting at X3l pan., his first score from the three darts he used throughout was a double 3. and he finished with a 10 with the first dart and a double 1 with the second. His time was 14mln inside the record. The unofficial attempt was made to give Davis an opportunity to claim the chance to make an official attempt under the control of the New Zealand Darts Association.
